Jakarta Urban
Urban analytics exploration for reading mobility, density, and city signals through a clean dashboard experience.
01
Overview
Jakarta Urban is an analytical exploration of city signals, built around mobility, density, and spatial patterns that can inform clearer urban decisions.
02
Challenge
Urban datasets often live across disconnected sources and can become difficult to interpret without a strong analytical frame.
03
Outcome
The project shows how urban analytics can become a more usable decision layer when data work is paired with product-oriented storytelling.
Project background
Why this project exists
Jakarta Urban is a city-data exploration shaped by the complexity of reading an urban environment. Jakarta is dense, layered, and constantly changing, so the project treats mobility and spatial signals as a way to understand patterns rather than as standalone charts.
The background idea is simple: urban analytics becomes more useful when it helps people compare places and behaviors. The project is less about one perfect score and more about building a language for reading city signals.
Build notes
How it was shaped
Explored urban indicators through Python-based analysis and visual summaries.
Grouped city signals around movement, place, and density to create a clearer analytical narrative.
Prepared the project for dashboard-style communication instead of isolated charts.
